Puengklueng ministry
Puengklueng Village is a small village located on the Thai-Burma border (Thai side). Despite its remote location, God’s grace has spread there through its beautiful ministry work.
In 1996, the Thai Christian Foundation initiated the establishment of a children’s dormitory in this village to provide the children with a safe, warm and loving Christian environment, Provide accommodation and care for primary and secondary school students, especially children from Laytongku Village, which is in a remote area.
Soon after, the hostel became a shelter for underprivileged children, some of whom lived in a refugee camp established in 1997 near the village. Today, Puengklueng Hostel cares for over 50 children
Later in 2001, Puengklueng Church was founded, which grew from the foundation of the dormitory and has since become a strong church and a center of mission in the area,
The church has partnered with the Panrak Foundation to maintain and develop the dormitory and coordinate various projects such as health programs, education promotion, and community leadership training.
Today, the Puengklueng Church plays a vital role in caring for and supporting over 15 churches in Puengklueng, Somae, Laytingku, Umphang districts, and in villages on the Thai-Burmese border.
The church also acts as the main coordinator in forwarding assistance from the Panrak Foundation to dormitory students who wish to continue their education at the secondary and university levels
One of the beautiful results of this mission is the story of Ms. Benjawan Thanyarat, a former student from Puengklueng Dormitory who received educational support and has now grown into a leader as the Director of Office Management for the Panrak Foundation, she is one of the many who return to inspire the next generation of children and testify to the power of God in changing lives.
