Mint and Dave — The Border Mission Family
Mint and Dave are members of Chapel Hill Church of Gig Harbor, Washington, and are involved in the ministry of the Presbyterian Church. They were called to serve God in the Thai-Myanmar border area among ethnic groups that have not yet been reached by the gospel.
Dave grew up in a missionary family, with his grandparents being Rev. Allan and Rev. Joan Eubank.
Dave worked with families in Thailand and gave his life to Jesus Christ while studying at Payap University, before serving in Iraq and Syria and later studying theology at Tyndale Theological Seminary in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, graduating in 2020.
Mint was born in Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province, and grew up in a Lahu-Wa ethnic family working in a Lahu dormitory. She graduated with a degree in horticulture from Maejo University. And in public health from Mae Fah Luang University, Mint responded to the call to serve when she traveled with Dave’s grandfather on CCI’s outreach arts ministry.
Mint and Dave first met in 2013 at a prostheses project in Chiang Rai Province and married in 2020. They currently have two sons and one daughter: Taiga Murray and Monica. The entire family holds Thai citizenship, including Dave, who received it from his mother.
Our mission
Our vision is “To see lives transformed through the reconciling work of Jesus Christ.” We believe that healthy families and communities are the foundation of a strong church. Although our first calling was to the Wa people, we have a commitment to other ethnic groups along the Thai-Myanmar border, such as the Teleko Karen, Pa-O, Shan, and Lahu. We are currently learning the Wa language and serving alongside local pastors and church leaders in the area.
Mint works with the Panrak Foundation, the Thai Christian Foundation, the Church of Christ in Thailand, and other partners to train and empower local leaders in family and community projects in Thailand and along the Thai-Myanmar border.
At the heart of our ministry is to encourage, support and serve alongside local church leaders and evangelists to see the Kingdom of God expand in depth and lasting ways.
