Ajarn Song, a true community pastor, volunteers his time to care for the Lao Song children with love and care. He shuttles them to school, helps them with their homework, and shares a warm dinner with them before sending them home, because many families have too many responsibilities to fully care for their children, sometimes children need to stay at the church because their parents have to run errands and leave them in the church’s care, with a hope for a better future. The church intends to continue building a dormitory to provide warm and safe housing and care for the children.
After returning from school, I stopped to eat and do my homework at the church while waiting for my parents to pick me up.
